Lorrina M. Duffy is an associate at QDRO Counsel, Inc., a law firm that focuses exclusively on the division of retirement benefits at divorce. Ms. Duffy’s work involves determining the community or marital interest in pension benefits earned through employment and in drafting appropriate orders for the division and disposition of those interests. Ms. Duffy serves on the Board of Directors of the Harriet Buhai Center for Family Law.
Prior to QDRO Counsel, Ms. Duffy was a staff attorney at the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles where she practiced family and consumer law. She represented survivors of domestic violence seeking protection from their abusers and custody/visitation orders. She also assisted low-income homeowners with issues of foreclosure rescue scams, financial elder abuse, fraud, forged deeds and other title issues.
Ms. Duffy received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Santa Cruz where she double-majored in American Studies and Latin American/Latino Studies. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
