Lorrina M. Duffy is an associate at QDRO Benefits Law Group, a law firm that focuses exclusively on the division of retirement benefits at divorce. Ms. Duffy’s work involves determining the community or marital interest in pension benefits earned through employment and in drafting appropriate orders for the division and disposition of those interests.
Ms. Duffy is also Executive Vice President of Legal Services for QDROCounsel, a legal services company backed by QDRO experts which provides web-based technology and legal services support on a subscription basis for the family law attorney and their staff to handle the valuation and division of retirement benefits.
Prior to QDRO Benefits Law Group, Ms. Duffy was a staff attorney at the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles where she practiced family and consumer law. She represented survivors of domestic violence seeking protection from their abusers and custody/visitation orders. She also assisted low-income homeowners with issues of foreclosure rescue scams, financial elder abuse, fraud, forged deeds and other title issues.
Ms. Duffy received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Santa Cruz where she double-majored in American Studies and Latin American/Latino Studies. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
