Aida S. Macedo is a co-founder and a partner at Cid & Macedo, Inc. Previously she served as a Chief of Staff for District 7 at the City of Fresno. She practices civil litigation, estate planning, provides general counsel services, and is a consultant working on policy issues. Her interests include supporting local municipalities, small businesses, and community nonprofits. She is also a career development coach focusing on women of color. Previously she was an Associate at a Central Valley plaintiff’s law firm working on catastrophic personal injury cases and an Equal Justice Works Legal Fellow focusing on providing free legal assistance to low-income communities in the Central Valley.
Aida S. Macedo graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California, Irvine with her B.A. in Political Science and Chicana/o studies and her law degree from the University of California, Davis. She was raised in South Gate, a city in southeast Los Angeles by a loving immigrant family and was the first in her family to go to college and attain a law degree.
She has received numerous awards including Fresno County Bar Association’s Pro Bono Attorney of the Year, Super Lawyer of Northern California 2024, Rising Star of Northern California, Super Lawyers Magazine, Top Women Attorneys in Northern California, and was awarded the Marshall Memorial Fellowship, The German Marshall Fund of the United States in 2019.
