
Monique Alarcón is partner at Wisner Baum LLP where she focuses her practice on the firm’s high-stakes litigation involving medical device cases, pharmaceutical drug liability, consumer fraud, and police misconduct lawsuits. She is instrumental in co-leading complex product liability cases for the firm, including her appointment as Plaintiffs’ Liaison Counsel for Baby Food Products Liability Litigation MDL (multidistrict litigation) No. 3101 and as Federal-State Court Liaison for Gardasil MDL 3036.
She is deeply committed to advancing the roles of Latinx individuals in the legal profession. As a board member of the LLBA, Monique mentors lawyers and helps further the organization’s mission of advancing the roles of Latinas in all stages and fields in the legal profession.
As an Adjunct Professor of Law at Loyola Law School’s Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA), Monique enjoys mentoring and coaching the law school’s Latinx law students on the Moot Court Team.
Monique’s dedication to public service is further exemplified by her pro bono work, representing people experiencing homelessness in infraction proceedings. This commitment to giving back to the community underscores her belief in using her legal skills to make a positive impact on society.
She earned her J.D. at Loyola Law School where she was a board member of the La Raza student organization. She also served as a Loyola Writing Tutor, a member of the Scott Moot Court Honors Board, a research assistant for the Civil Rights Litigation Practicum, and was involved with Loyola’s Project for the Innocent.
Monique is the proud daughter of Mexican immigrants and the first in her family to attend college and law school.
